Kingdom of Cambodia

This body of work observes daily life in Cambodia, where water shapes not only the landscape, but the structure of living itself. Across floating villages and seasonal ground, movement replaces permanence and adaptation becomes routine. Children gather, travel to school by boat, and inhabit spaces where boundaries between land and water continuously shift. Homes rise above uncertain terrain, while boats wait along receding shorelines, marking cycles of presence and absence. Public institutions schools, police stations, community spaces adjust to these conditions, existing within the same fluid environment as the people they serve. Rather than focusing on spectacle, the work remains attentive to ordinary moments: a pause, a crossing, a return. Each image reflects a system of life built in response to rhythm rather than control, where stability is not fixed, but negotiated daily. Together, the photographs form a quiet record of coexistence between people, water, and time.
