MINEIA MARTINS
Mineia Martins is a Brazilian fine art and documentary photographer, designer and visual artist based between Miami, FL and Nashville, TN. Her photography has been published by National Geographic, TIME Magazine, CNN, ABC News, PBS, Le Parisien (France), Czech National Television and India Times, reaching audiences across five continents. Her photograph “The Vertical Force — Iguaçu Falls” was selected as National Geographic’s Photo of the Day, May 12, 2017, honored with the National Geographic Daily Dozen recognition, November 30, 2016 (US), and featured as National Geographic Taiwan’s daily pick, January 21, 2017. Working fluidly across photography, painting and design, Martins develops work that bridges structure and intuition. Her documentary photography captures the raw dignity of human life — from the lotus farms of Cambodia to the deserts of Namibia. Her fine art practice investigates light, atmosphere and the precise moment where aesthetics shift from surface to experience. Influenced by both natural environments and contemporary visual culture, her work moves across disciplines while maintaining a singular visual voice defined by dramatic contrast, deep shadow, and an instinct for the decisive human moment.
